Betsy Lobmeyer made thsese clever little holders out of seed packets from that were less than a dollar each. She filled the Forget-Me-Not packet with trimmed scrapbook paper (from the dollar store) to keep for note paper. The flashcards are made from scrap paper and a ring from the dollar store, and another seed packet is used as a holder for stickers, etc.

This hoodie by laupre.com is fully lined with teddy bear fur! Wow! She made it for the Craftster $10 dollar store challenge.
Check the laupre blog for graphic photos of teddy bears being dismantled, as well as a lot of great photos of how she made the jacket using seven bears and three fleece scarves!

A couple years ago, Craftster.org (probably the biggest, best crafty website in the world) had a dollar store crafting challenge.
Participants had to make their creation spending $5 or less at the Dollar Store. There were some clever and cute housewares that Craftster members made, all for the same price as a Venti Frappuccino!

Here’s my first Dollar Score for the Dollar Store Crafts blog. I spent a total of $8 tonight (but don’t think I wasn’t tempted to buy about $20 worth of other supplies for the blog). Did you know the average total purchase at Dollar Tree is $6.50?
