Make a Peppermint Candy Tree
by heather

I made this Peppermint Candy Christmas Tree last night as I caught up on tv! It's super easy, and I think it turned out pretty cute!
Project Materials:
- Styrofoam cone, $1
- 12 oz bag of Peppermints, $1
- Scotch tape and/or hot glue, on hand
Total Cost: $2
I used every one of a 12 oz bag of starlight mints, so you might want to pick up two bags if you want a fuller looking tree.
To make:
- Attach candies one at a time to styrofoam cone starting at the bottom and working your way up. I left the plastic shrink wrap on the cone.
- I used pieces of tape to stick mints on until the top 1" and then I used hot glue to attach the rest of the mints. You can use hot glue the whole way if you want.

I like it! I did one with a topiary jammed into a clay pot (obviously a little more of an investment) and then candy attached with straight pins. I thought a photo, but it’s not on my Flickr…
THis is too sweet!
