Make Jewelry for your Shirt

Craftster user lishshop devised a clever way to temporarily dress up a shirt. She used a kilt pin, a hair slide, some chain and beads and made this unique jewelry that makes quite a statement on a plain shirt. One of the great things about this project is that although the jewelry makes a huge statement, it is removable so you aren’t permanently stuck with a bedecked shirt, in case you don’t feel like making the same statement twice! This project is, of course, infinitely customizable. You can use any kind of adornment, beads, pins, colors of metal, etc. to make this project your own. I think it would look amazing with a vintage steampunk gears and pocketwatches kind of feel.

Project Estimate:

  • Kilt pin (or safety pins), $1
  • Brooch, $1
  • Chain (or dollar store necklaces), $1 and up
  • Beads, $1 and up
  • Assorted jewelry findings, $1 and up

Total cost: $5 and up
