Craftster user bigfatroses made this amazing shoji-inspired screen for less than $10, using stuff from the dollar store.

Project Estimate:

  • 6 bamboo sticks, $1 each
  • package barbecue skewers, $1
  • shower curtain, $1
  • ball of sisal, $1
  • hot glue gun, on hand
  • tape, on hand

Total cost: $9

Fantastic screen, it looks so shop bought(i mean that in a good way).

During these cold winter nights when you are stuck inside and the Tv is rubbish as usual, wouldn’t it be great if more people got back to making their things again and with places like the dollar shop of the pound shop in the Uk getting the materials is soooo much cheaper now.

I definitely feel like making stuff when it’s all dark outside and warm and cozy inside!

This is a great idea. I’ve been looking for a way to create one of these screens for less money. Thanks, again.
