Lanzadora posted this kitschy cassette tape purse at Instructables. Finally! A way to proclaim your love for the 80s and all things mixtape AND bring a bunch of stuff around town with you. I especially love the use of two cassette tape holders filled with unraveled tape serving as the bottom of the handbag.
In case you haven’t read them, we also have some other great …

If the cast of Project Runway were dropped off at the dollar store, no doubt they would be tempted to use the fleece scarves, as they yield so much real fabric ripe for transformation. Dollar store fleece scarves come in many colors, and only need a little embellishment to take them from drab to fab.
These hand-printed scarves from Curbly serve as great inspiration for what …

Project Estimate:

Project Estimate:
Plastic basket with holes, $1
Ribbon, $1-3
Total Cost: $2 or so

Pinkandpolkadot shared her inexpensive craft table makeover at her blog. She used cool wrapping paper for her table top, and a no-sew method for attaching the table skirt!
The dollar store has a lot of great wrapping paper (especially at this time of year), as does Target’s dollar spot. Yesterday I scored some holiday-neutral wrap with mod tree shapes on it that would be great for …

Here’s a cool scrappy craft that caught my eye at the By Shasta blog. It’s a handmade photo album wherein each page is a different shape. Nifty! By Shasta used a Cricut to cut the shapes, but you could easily freehand-cut the page shapes (or enlarge shapes you want on your computer, print, and cut them out). She used recycled cereal boxes (and other cardboards) …
