Craftster member charliebrown made this amazing tote bag by cutting apart placemats purchased at the dollar store and sewing them into strips. She then embroidered the bag, which takes it to dollar store chic!

Project Estimate:

  • 5 Placemats, $5
  • Embroidery Floss, $1
  • Optional lining fabric (on hand)

Total cost: $6
