Redo Your Craft Table on a Budget

Pinkandpolkadot shared her inexpensive craft table makeover at her blog. She used cool wrapping paper for her table top, and a no-sew method for attaching the table skirt!

The dollar store has a lot of great wrapping paper (especially at this time of year), as does Target's dollar spot. Yesterday I scored some holiday-neutral wrap with mod tree shapes on it that would be great for covering a table top. You can find $1/yard fabric for the table skirt at that big blue discount chain, or on sale or coupon at your local craft/fabric store. (If you haven't learned this yet, JoAnn fabric sends out a 40% off coupon every few weeks if you sign up for their mailing list!). This would also be an IDEAL stash-busting project to use up your excess fabric and/or old gift wrap.

This is a great, inexpensive way to make a big impact on your craft room (or closet, in my case!) decor!

Project Estimate:

  • Gift wrap, $1
  • Mod Podge, $5
  • Fabric, $1/yard (about 4-6 yards)
  • Staple gun & staples, on hand
  • Table, on hand or get at thrift store or garage sale

Total Cost: $10 and up (or much less if you bust into your stash!)
