Make a Valentine’s Day Candy Centerpiece
by heather
Kris at Jesse Kate Designs made this adorable Valentine's day centerpiece out of a cute clear ice cream glass she got at the dollar store. Add a bit of brightly colored candy and a couple other cute embellishments (don't you love the Pixie Stix straws?), and you have a quick and pretty decoration for your Valentine party. If you don't have time to do this before V-day, how about just making one for another holiday? You could put green candies in the glass for a nice St. Patrick's Day decoration, or purple, green and yellow for Mardi Gras. This would also make adorable table centerpieces for a baby shower (wouldn't a soda shoppe theme be super cute for a shower?) Bottom line, great idea that is versatile enough for any theme.
Project Estimate:
- Clear ice cream sundae glass, $1
- Candy to fill the bottom of glass, $1
- Styrofoam circle or half-circle, $1 (pack of 6)
- Other candy (saltwater taffy, pixie stix, heart "cherry"), $1
- Hot glue gun, on hand
Total cost: $4

This would even be cute for a kid’s birthday party, a retro themed party or even a “cheer up” present for a friend (because chocolates and candy always make things at least a little bit better).
It would be fun for a cheer up present! You are a great friend, obviously!!
