Yeah, the felt food idea is a great one. There are lots of tutorials for them on the net (and maybe some on this website?) and would go great with it.

Great idea to encourage imaginative play with the bonus of it storing all the play cooking goodies afterward!

This would also be a cool gift to make for a birthday present for a toddler or pre-schoolers (as many times they seem to enjoy doing the boxes the presents come in better than the presents themselves). You could even buy some felt at the Dollar store (where I live it runs 4 pieces for $1) and craft it into felt food to go with the stove.
