Build a Kitchen Caddy

Craftster user hatch_handicrafts built this cool kitchen caddy using picture frames and canvases she got at the dollar store. Note some of the cool features of the caddy: glass shelving (from the glass in the frames), the bottom shelf made with bamboo skewers, and the wine glass holders made from the wooden pegs on the backs of the frames. Building small furniture with dollar store frames has a lot of potential! [click here for full post and details on this project]

Project Estimate:

  • 3 – Large canvases, $3
  • 2 – Framed document picture holders, $2
  • 2 – Unframed picture holders, $2
  • 1 – Bag of bamboo skewers, $1
  • 1 – Cutting board, $1
  • 1 – Metal basket, $1

Total: $10

Ohhh awesome project! Sadly it makes me realize our apartment kitchen has no corners that need to be filled with a similar piece – or any at all for that matter… our poor cornerless kitchen ;)

That’s ingenuity! Hard to believe it was made from dollar store materials. It would work great in a laundry room too.
