Valerie at The Crafty Classroom has tons of great ideas for cute crafts, with a good emphasis on Japanese-themed crafts. I love this wooden frame finished with origami paper! This project is simple enough for kids to make, but looks pretty enough for even the most modern of decor. [click here for complete project instructions]

One of my favorite parts about this project is that the edges of the frame are covered in ribbon. I love that finishing detail!

Project Estimate:

  • Wooden frame, $1
  • Origami paper, $1
  • Ribbon, on hand or $1
  • Mod Podge, on hand

Total: $2
