Use Dad’s Tie to Make Gadget Case

Most dads don't need another tie, but they do have a lot of gadgets that could use a stylin' new home! Refashion a tie into a case fit for a cell phone, iPod, or other daddy toy, and give him a gift he'll actually use this Father's Day! This project is by luvinthemommyhood. The great thing about this project is that you can do it for free. You can raid dad's tie closet for a tie he doesn't wear anymore, or if you're not sure that method will fly, pick one up at a garage sale or thrift store.

Project Estimate:

  • Tie, on hand
  • Scissors, sewing stuff, on hand

Total: Free and up

This is the most fantastic idea. There are some ties in my husbands closet that would look way better as pouches than they do as ties.
