i use stockings/ pantyhose legs to make baby head bands . the fabric does not cut into baby heads and has a lot of stretch . Can often find pretty colours or white pairs on clearance (cos’ bot many people want to wear white nylons over the age of 12 apart from a bride) , affix a fabric flower and you have a head band . Many years ago i saw some for sale in a pricey baby boutique made from pantyhose and decided not to buy , but to make for my baldy girls .

Thanks for posting this, Heather! I’ve been thinking about trying to make hair clips for my 3 girls. You did a lot of the testing for me-thanks again! (I think it’s pretty cute that you used your boys for models. How did you get them to sit still?!)

These are splendid! I never thought of using velcro – I love dollar stores, they are like a treasure chest. You never know what you will find.
