Biggest issue is to ensure the strips of paper to be uniform in with. When I'm lazy, i use gift ribbon instead of cutting paper strips on my own. Gift ribbon makes a star about 1/2 inch wide and then you get them in all kinds of colors. Hang them on the tree, string them, make wreaths, or halos for the kids. all kinds of wonderful ideas.
