fab idea. I have some of those. they are so lightweight I can’t imagine they will make much a price difference. adding fabric might though..

I’ve been using these bags for about 1 1/2 years for produce bags. I added a toggle on the drawstring for ease in closing. Thanks for your tutorial.

@cindy, They probably do a little, but they are super light weight, like maybe less than an ounce.

LOVE IT!!! i hate using those bags for produce, and this is a simple solution.

lori-get some of those reusable bags that roll up and keep one or two in your purse, that was at least you have some for those quick in-and-out trips.

Cute! I bought a pack of these same bags a long time ago because, of course I was sure I could find a million things to do with them. But as soon as I got home I could not figure out one thing to do with them besides use them to corral bath toys to dry in the shower.

Now I know that I can take them to the grocery store! I’m appalled at the number of plastic grocery/store bags that we accumulate every week, yet I haven’t moved on to the reusable bags yet, well because I always forget them in the car or need WAY more bags than I have to carry home the stuff I bought.

Maybe if I dolled up some reusable bags like these I would remember to take them into the store…..
