The Design*Sponge blog just did some <a href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/designspongeonline/njjl/~3/2eyx31Kucvc/made-with-love-terrarium-ornaments.html" rel="nofollow">ornament terrariums</a>, too. I broke down and made a whole bunch of them on Saturday.

Ooooh, we have lots of teeny little shells we picked up at the lake this summer... Now I know what to do with them! (Other than having them sit in a bowl on my counter for -- whoa, five months now!)

Great ideas!

There ARE so many variations! We had an ornament decorating competition, and someone made the most adorable winter scene inside one of the glass ornaments! They had fake snow and one of those miniature trees from a train garden, as well as a snowman they somehow made. Cutest thing ever!

I think the sea one sounds completely adorable, Clarissa, and what a great keepsake something like that would be from a beach vacation! Just add some small seashells you find as well!

Here's a little variation for our sea-loving friends. Instead of soil, use sand and/or tiny seashells to decorate the bottom. Then, suspend a little fish from the top of the ornament. (You'd need a skinny fish!) Or, you could potentially stick fish stickers around the outside.

There's a lot of potential with this project! I love it!
