And for this outfit, I used the same unrelated, but fun fabric to applique onto the pants as well as on the shirt. The easy 5-minute ruffle hem here is a great way to spice up a shirt as well as get rid of unsightly stains. (The parts of the sleeves I trimmed off become the caterpillar applique above.)
