I'm happy to be the host for the May 20, 2010 edition of all things family, a weekly blog carnival. Each week we bring you links to family fun, health, safety, and anything family-related. Here are links from the blog carnival, as well as some of my own family-related links from the past week. I hope you enjoy them, and feel free to submit your own articles to next week's blog carnival, which will be hosted at Projects For Preschoolers. Next week's theme is school's out and outdoor activities.

Crafts & Activities:

Flowers: This flower round up is amazing! Crafts, food, activities--I love all these Fun Flower Crafts from Wendy at Craft Jr.

Flip-Flops and Cupcake Cakes
: Char Polanosky presents Print and Color Flip Flops posted at Printables for Kids, saying, "Lots of cute flip flops to print and color, use for a matching game or to use in crafts." Char also shares Caterpillar Cupcake Cake posted at Celebrate It, saying, "How to make an adorable caterpillar cupcake cake." Isn't this The Very Hungry Caterpillar-inspired cupcake cake fun?

Coloring Pattern Pages
: Randa Clay has a roundup of Mandala and patterns for coloring printables at FreeStuff4Kids.

Tiki Activity: Check out this fun Tiki name craft! do you see the name? It's "Daniel" Nicole presents Name Tiki Craft great activity for your Luau Party posted at ThePartyAnimal.

Polishing is fun: Jen Goode shares a fun preschool activity she learned from her time working in a Montessori classroom: polishing! "'Polishing' is an activity that looks like work, but preschoolers love it!" [have fun with pretend polishing]

Lauren Dzuris presents Fun Things to do With Your Baby posted at Lauren, saying, "Seven fun things you can do with your baby, and how to keep them and yourself entertained."

Heather presents Gluten-free Play Dough posted at Celiac Family.

Just for Fun:

Planning a Lost finale party for this Sunday? Check out these Lost Finale Party Ideas from Shannon at Party Elf. My friend Monica's menu for the finale includes: LOST island tea, Pepper JACK burgers, HURLY Curly pasta salad.

Someone, please make this cupcake dome out of dollar store stuff! Find it at Giver's Log. I think I can find cheaper clear containers at my local restaurant supply store (Cash & Carry/Smart & Final -- if you don't shop at these stores, you should check them out! The entire aisle of coffee syrups is worth it, just by itself). What should we put on top?

Make an adorable Little Lamb sandwich with Kellie at Little Nummies.

I made these little bunny treats for Food Whirl.

Around the Home:

My son is sick this week, and this recipe for Homemade Pedialyte Substitute (the recipe is from the World Health Organization) has come in handy, thanks to My Empty Nest.

June Tree presents Cheap Barbecue And Safe Fireworks: Our Fun Family Extravaganza posted at The Digerati Life, saying, "It's time for weekend barbecue-ing!"

Sheryl Owen presents Change of Address: Top 10 House Warming Gifts posted at Change of Address.

That's it for this week's blog carnival. Submit your blog article to the next edition of all things family using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.
