I'm always looking for more good ideas for organization. I like to think that if I collect enough good ideas, I'll actually get organized! I've been trying, though, I really have! I have come across a lot of good tips and tricks for organizing lately, so check them out below. And, if you have any good organizing tips, leave your links in the comments. Oh, and does anyone have a favorite resource for help with organization (book, website, program or other)?

Rubber Banded Basket

This impromptu basket by Sewing in the Suburbs is a quick and cute way to store pretty much any small items. You can sew your own fabric square to make one, or if you dollar store-it, use a placemat. Secure corners with rubber bands. Get the tutorial here.

Playroom Bin Labels

Jess from mad in crafts made these cute labels with stuff from her dollar store. Find out the technique she used here.

Hanging Baskets

Lorie at Be Different Act Normal strung three baskets together to make a hanging basket fixture in her bathroom. Great idea! Hanging baskets here. [via]

Ruffly Storage Bin

Dress up some of those basic plastic storage bins with a pretty fabric ruffle with Grammar of Life. Check out the simple process she used to make this pretty storage bin.

    Hi Heather,

PS- I’m so sorry about the rude person who left you a “present” on your driveway. I can see how that would feel awful. People can be so inconsiderate; it amazes me.

Both Dollar Tree and Family Dollar have such cute bins right now! I found a narrow plastic bin that fits perfectly in our cupboards…and holds my koozies!

I got a shoe organizer (with lots of clear plastic pockets for shoes) that is designed to hang over a door. I have it on the inside of my closet door (my studio is in my bedroom) and use it, not for shoes, but for all kinds of stuff like glues, scissors, envelopes, tools, rulers…all kinds of cluttery stuff that would normally take up a lot of space. Instead it is basically invisible, and it is very handy for finding things when I need them!

Thanks for featuring my fabric rubberband basket! I tried to grab a “featured” button, but it wouldn’t work. I’m no html expert, so I couldn’t tweak it to make it work either :(

    Thanks again!

    Hi,
You asked for any good organizing tips, website etc. I am a professional organizer with a website chocked full of organizing ideas, and tips in my blogs, articles and on my web show. I was asked to write an organizing book that the publisher released November 2009. So My favorite organizing book is mine–Go Organize, Conquer Clutter in 3 simple steps. I just recently released my first of many video workshops. The first one is how to organize an office.
    I really like your ideas!!
