It's Back to School time, and seeing all the school supplies in the stores is making me giddy!  I love school supplies!!  Of course I couldn't resist creating a little project in honor of Back to School -- a cute little recycled pouch to hold some crayons and maybe a notebook.

This little pouch would be so cute clipped to a backpack.  I just want to make dozens of them -- in a rainbow of zipper colors!  [get instructions]

Project Estimate:

  • Vinyl (mine is the packaging for a comforter), on hand or buy by the yard
  • 22" zipper, $1 and up
  • 1/2 yard of matching ribbon, on hand or $1
  • Crayons, $.25 and up (school supply sales!)
  • Notebook, $1

Total: $2.25

This is amazing. It could even be upsized to a much bigger art pouch for dedicated artists like myself! I’d need a much longer zipper, though…. I wonder how long you can get them!
