The second Iron Craft challenge of 2011 was “Stay Warm.” We were to make something oh so functional – a ‘draft dodger’ or a ‘door snake’. If you live in the cold, then we will keep out the cold. (If you live in Phoenix, then we will keep the cool air in. But whether you want the air in or out, just lay down your snake, and it will do it’s job.) Both Rhonda and Melinda created projects again this week (and both were pet-approved!).

Heather’s favorite this week was the Home draft dodger by Starrilicious. She likes the combination of word art with the practical – keeping your house warm!

Our IC2 Submissions:

Rhonda Greene’s Submission: Double Sided Draft Stopper

Double Sided Draft Dodger by Rhonda I took a different approach to this week’s Iron Craft challenge. Modeled after the double-sided draft guards sold on TV, I made my own version and only spent $1!

Melinda Hileman’s Submission: Draft Dodger/Neck Wrap

Draft Dodger/Neck Wrap by Melinda Hileman Since we don’t get too many drafts where I am currently staying in Florida, I decided to make mine multi-functional. When it’s drafty, it’s a draft dodger. When it’s not, it’s a microwaveable neck wrap!
