I have what probably constitutes a lifetime supply of buttons, but unfortunately my collection doesn’t have as much variety as I’d like.  A couple of years ago I sorted my buttons into two separate sets, making a jar full of colorful buttons and another full of white, black, brown, and other not-as-pretty colors.  As it turns out, I have about 4 times as many of the latter!  That’s why I’m glad I came across this head-slappingly simple idea from Patty at Capture the Details.  She took a bunch of white buttons and applied some spray paint, giving them a completely fresh look!  (If you plan to use them on clothing projects, I’d suggest spraying on a coat of primer first, or using a primer-and-paint-in-one product.)  [how to spray paint buttons]

Patty is also a very talented illustrator and photographer, so be sure to check out the rest of her blog.  You’ll be glad you did!
