Okay, altered pumpkins are so hot this year! So many crafters are changing their dollar store pumpkins from blah to blah-maaaazing! (Haha, that didn’t really work, but let’s just pretend it did, okay?) Beckie at Infarrantly Creative transformed a plain foam dollar store pumpkin into a pretty centerpiece by spraying with glitter spray paint, hollowing out a hole for a candle, and adding a coordinating ribbon. Does it get any easier than that? She also has a cool trick for making a placecard holder, but I’ll let you click over and find out what it is. [how to make a glittered pumpkin candle holder]
Project Estimate:
- Pumpkin, $1
- Glitter paint, on hand or about $4
- Candle, on hand
- Ribbon, on hand or $1
Total: $1 and up

Foam, paint, fabric and glitter seem a bit volatile! Clever idea, but for safety’s sake I’d
-use a real pumpkin, hollowed out with an apple-corer or a tea light corer
-use the faux pumpkin, but with a faux(LED) tea light.

We’re doing this craft at my MOPS group today. Thanks, Heather and Beckie, for the idea!
