When you see a package of mouse traps, what's the first thing that comes to mind? For Suzy at Suzy's Artsy Craftsy Sitcom, the initial thought was something along the lines of, "ooh, magnetic clips for the fridge!" After removing the unneeded bits of the mouse traps, she gave them a decorative one-two punch with bright paint and some 3D clip art. The transformation is very impressive! [how to make mouse trap magnet clips]
Project estimate:
- Mouse traps, $1
- Paint, on hand
- Clip art, free
- Cardboard, on hand
- Mod Podge, on hand
- Magnets, $1 and up
Total: $2 and up

Excellent idea! I think this will clean up the magnet wall on the refrigerator :) A good idea as well for using in the sewing/craft room to hold patterns and other odds and ends.
Great idea!!Going to make some of these in animal themes Cats, Dogs, Horses, for my friends and to sell at fundraiser craft fairs. Thanks for sharing!
Love it. I am going to “steal” the idea :))

They look great! Love the foodie decorations
Hahaha … that is sooo cool !!! Great idea!
now that is a really cute idea!!!
Well the wooden traps I bought from local Dollartree, when I got them home, are not like those pictured in the tutorial. Mine have the metal clip attached to the spring that holds the trigger arm to the trap. It is not just stapled to the board. I will need to seek out some metal snips to cut it away from the spring. Oh well!! For others make sure you locate the same brand she uses above-Victory to make these.
How fun is this! What a great idea…never seen anything like it!
I am totally loving this fun idea!!! totally original!! definitely going to my pinterest board!!! which you guys need a pin it button!!!
