Make a Recycled Denim Headband

Bad hair days are an inevitability.  Be prepared for those days with a cute, recycled headband!  PC from MeiJo's Joy chopped up an old pair of jeans to create this fabulous, bow-like design, embellished with the button from the jeans.  The secret to getting this look is PC's method of alternating two- and three-petal shapes, building up multiple layers and giving the headband a fun, textured appearance.  If you don't have a pair of jeans laying around, it would also look cute made with felt or any other heavy fabric.  [how to make a recycled denim headband]

Project estimate:

  • Old jeans, on hand
  • Cardboard, on hand
  • Marker, on hand
  • Headband, on hand or $1
  • Glue, on hand

Total:  Free or $1
