Make a Recycled Art Supply Caddy

How do you organize your art supplies?  I've got a shoebox full of crayons and markers and colored pencils sitting on my work table, and while it works great for keeping them corralled in one place, it's not really what I would call "organized."  To me, organized means not having to spend 10 minutes digging around to find the specific item I am looking for.  It would be much easier to sort through the mess if it were in something like this art supply caddy by Morena at Morena's Corner!  Essentially a multi-teired pencil cup, she assembled it using items rescued from the recycling bin.  Not only is this a great idea for at home, it is also an excellent project for in the classroom!  [how to make a recycled art supply caddy]

Project estimate:

  • Spray paint cap, on hand
  • Cardboard tube, on hand
  • Juice bottle cap, on hand
  • Washi tape, on hand or $1 and up
  • Mod Podge, on hand

Total:  Free and up
