Make soda bottle bell jars (via dollarstorecrafts.com)

Though bell jars are actually scientific equipment, they became popular in home decor as well during Victorian times.  It’s a great look for displaying your favorite knick-knacks, but it’s a look that doesn’t always come cheap.  Buying glass bell jars can easily cost you upwards of $30 each!  Before you go out and spend a week’s worth of grocery money on a collection of them, check out this idea by Marilyn from Seeing Things.  She made a whole set of bell jars out of recycled soda bottles!  The aesthetic is perfect for Halloween, though you can also change the contests of the jars to make them seasonally appropriate throughout the rest of the year.  [how to make soda bottle bell jars]
