With Thanksgiving just a few short days away, are your preparations underway?  If you're hosting a get-together of family or friends this year, the decorating can be almost as important as the menu.  If you haven't gone out and bought new decorations specifically for the event, don't panic!  You can recycle some of your Halloween decor to make it fit the occasion!  Vivienne from The V Spot went on a pumpkin-buying spree this year, so she used her leftovers to make an elegant Thanksgiving craft: a fall-themed centerpiece.  She used real pumpkins, but for more longevity this process would also work with fake pumpkins!  [how to make an elegant pumpkin centerpiece]

Project estimate:

  • Pumpkins, on hand or $1 and up
  • Spray paint, on hand or $1 and up
  • Craft paint, on hand or $1 and up
  • Ribbon, on hand or $1
  • Brooches or other embellishments, on hand or $1 and up

Total:  Free and up
