Make a denim flower necklace (via dollarstorecrafts.com)

I haven’t thrown away a pair of jeans in about a decade.  Oh, I still blow holes in them or get big, ugly stains on them, but once they are past their useful lifespan as a part of my daily wardrobe there are just so many cute things you can do with the salvaged denim!  When Sachiko from Tea Rose Home altered a pair of pants recently, she was left with some scraps of excess material she removed from around the cuffs.  While many people would just toss the scraps into the garbage, Sachiko opted to be resourceful instead and turned the trimmings into a playful flower necklace!  [how to make a denim flower necklace]
