Make Baroque-Inspired Sunglasses (via dollarstorecrafts.com)

Looking to make a big fashion statement but don’t have a big budget to make it happen?  Check this out!  Donatella from Inspiration & Realisation kept seeing baroque-inspired designer specs that she absolutely loved, but being designer pieces they were a little bit out of her price range.  With a little ingenuity and some polymer clay, she transformed inexpensive sunglasses and reading glasses into these DIY lookalikes.  Even if you have to spend the $10 or so to buy a set of silicone molds to make the clay pieces, you’ll still spend a far cry less than a pair of glasses costs at Saks or D&G!  [how to make baroque-inspired sunglasses]

Project estimate:

  • Sunglasses or reading glasses, $1 and up
  • Polymer clay, on hand or about $2
  • Silicone mold, about $10
  • Glue, on hand

Total:  about $11 and up
