Make Scrubby Valentine Votives

One of my favorite things about dollar store crafting is seeing the innovative ideas people come up with for making things out of all kinds of unusual items.  These Valentine votive holders from Mrs. Polly Rogers are one of those projects that make me say, "she made that out of what?!"  The pretty, shiny, glitzy material you see dressing up these candle holders comes from deconstructed dish scrubbers!  (Insert sounds of shock and awe here.)  Now she's got me wondering what else I could dress up with them.  I'll never look at those little scrubbies the same way again!  [how to make scrubby Valentine votives]

Project estimate:

  • Dish scrubbers, $1
  • Sauce bowls, 4/$1
  • Glass candlesticks, $1
  • Beads, on hand or $1 and up
  • Glue, on hand
  • Votive or tea light candles, on hand or $1

Total:  $3 and up
