We recently celebrated Flip Flop Week here at DSC and shared a whole bunch of awesome ways you can redo and personalize your own inexpensive summer footwear. To make sure you didn’t miss any of our great ideas, and to share a few new ones we’ve found in the meantime, we put together a roundup of 14 things you can do with a pair of flip flops. Which design is your favorite? If you have a favorite flip flop tutorial that isn’t on this list we would love to see it, so please feel free to add it in the comments at the end of the post!
When you’re done checking out all of the tutorials, please also pay a visit to Craft Hope. Through July 10, 2013, they are collecting flip flop sandals to give to shoeless children in Nicaragua! [learn more about the Craft Hope flip flop project]

It’s very interesting to know 14 ways to decorate the Flip Flops! Thanks for sharing! I especially love the idea of the glowing sticks on the flip flops. That’s awesome!
If there are 15 ways, the 15th must be something relating to putting rhinestones on them :-)

These ideas are awesome. Definitely won’t look at flip flops the same way again. This could get me into a lot of trouble *lol*

I made a few this year for my friends, but those old navy $1 flip flops or the ones you only wore a few times scrub clean and wire the back part together to make your summer colorful wreath. Add a little bow to some of the thong parts, a big one at the bottom, or a saying/sign in the middle. They make great gifts or even give aways for showers or perfect for a beach/lake house!

Another flip flop refashion is taking fuzzy yarn ( sometimes called fun fur) and wrapping it around the part of the flip flop that goes over your foot. This makes the flip flops really colorful and zany.
