Lanterns hung from trees are so romantic. They give any plain space a warm, inviting feel. You could even use them to keep buggies at bay during the summer by using citronella candles inside. Cindy from Skip to My Lou shows us how to make these impressive lanterns from nylon cord or hemp twine and an old glass jar. [how to make a hanging mason jar candle holder]
Project estimate:
- Nylon cord or hemp twine, on hand or $1 and up
- Glass jar, on hand or $1 and up
- Candle, on hand or $0.25 and up
Total: free and up!

Since those glass jars look like porch light covers, I guess you could also use the latter instead to create these.
