I love to walk. I have a date with one of my closest friends to walk two days at week after we drop the kids off at school. I am always wondering how far I’ve gone. Having a pedometer on my waistband drives me crazy. I swing my arms when I walk and I am always banging it and knocking it loose or off. I needed a solution and came up with this great idea.
Project estimate:
- Coozie cup holder, $1 for two
- Pedometer, on hand or $1 and up
- Sewing machine or needle and thread, on hand
Total: $1.00 and up
Cut one of the two coozies to the width you would like. I cut mine 2 3/4 inches. I wanted to be able to have a pocket large enough to slip my iPod into if I wanted to.
Sew the small piece to the larger solid one. Make sure the leave the top open forming a pocket. I used a zig zag stitch. It will be a lot strong if you want to place an item in the pocket along with the pedometer attached to the outside.
Slip your iPod in the pocket and hook your pedometer to the outside. The material makes it very comfortable to place on your upper arm or you can place it on your ankle.

Thanks great idea! I have a pedometer app on my phone and when I’m walking with my dogs I’m always thinking I wish I had one of these instead of carrying my phone in my hand
