They toy aisle at the dollar store is always a treasure trove of fun little trinkets and tidbits.  Aki at A Nest for All Seasons happened across some adorable little turtles and, being somewhat of a turtle fanatic, decided that they would make nifty jewelry.  Her spray-paint-and-nail-polish makeover takes them from cheap plastic playthings to sophisticated pendants in a few simple steps.  It’s amazing what a transformation a little bit of painting can make!  [how to make plastic toy necklaces]
