Make Hex Nut Snowflake Ornaments

As a kid, I spent a lot of time at the hardware store; dad was always running there to pick up one thing or another for his endless list of projects around the house, and my brother and I often tagged along.  And ever since those days, I have been fascinated with the use for fasteners and other hardware-y tidbits as craft materials.  Over at Henry Happened I spotted these fabulous hex nut snowflake ornaments!  Just like real snowflakes, you can arrange the nuts in endless configuration to make lots of unique designs.  Big ones, small ones, simple ones, elaborate ones…  Grab a big bag of hex nuts next time you’re at the hardware store and you can create a bunch of ’em!  [how to make hex nut snowflake ornaments]
