Cardstore.com has so many great card designs. They’re modern, stylish, cute, and fun. I tried out a whole bunch of different ones so I could show them to you. On this one, I put my son’s most recent painting of my three boys. Then, on the inside of the card, I was able to put an additional photo:

Another reason I was excited about this product: it’s so easy!

It’s so easy to upload your photos, place them in the card designs, customize the message, and then you’re done. You can change the photo to color, black and white, or sepia with just a click of a button. You can modify the fonts, color and size of the fonts, and customize the inside card messages. Sometimes you can even insert an additional photo inside the card’s message.

You can also have your return address printed on envelopes, which makes holiday card-giving even easier. Oh, and if you’re really organized, you can upload your address list, and they will print addresses on the envelopes for you and put stamps on them! How easy is that? If you want, they’ll even mail them for you.

The quality of the cards is great. They’re heavy cardstock, and they’re printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper. And there’s no minimum order.

My first thought when I started browsing the site was, “I could do these myself for cheaper.” And it’s true, you could do them yourself. But it would take hours of graphic design time (assuming you’re a competent graphic designer), and then you’d still have to mess with either printing them yourself (ink and toner isn’t cheap!) or you’d have to upload them and pick up your order at your local photo lab. And even then, the quality would just be different.

I am a cheapskate. You know this about me. But making these cards on Cardstore.com was fun. And easy. And quick. If I made these cheapskate-style myself, it would just add a large project to my already overloaded Christmas project list.

You know, I haven’t even SENT Christmas cards since my oldest son was born.

I didn’t even send out birth announcements. Cardstore.com had such awesome birth announcement choices that I picked one for each of my boys. I’m just going to frame these in dollar store frames and hang them up on my walls.

You can order certain cards that are designed to go with special packs of stickers and rhinestones, and other stuff. I figured I could just dollar store craftize one of these cards with my own dollar store rhinestones.
