Recycled Art Craft Challenge (Deadline: April 20, 2010)

I'm teaming up with Marie from Make and Takes to bring you a fun crafty challenge just in time for Earth Day. With just a few supplies, we want to see what you will come up with! We're looking for crafty works of art, all with just a few simple materials. Starting today, April 12th through April 2oth, get your craft on!

Here's the Challenge:

  • create a work of art with one or more of the following supplies:
  1. paper tube
  2. egg carton
  3. plastic containers
  • you can use any other supplies to help you create: paint, scissors, glue, tape, stickers, paper, etc.
  • 3 photos will be chosen in each of the following 5 categories to be featured on M&T and DSC:
  1. best use of a paper tube
  2. best use of a egg carton
  3. best use of a plastic container
  4. most colorful
  5. most functional
  • Challenge entries must be submitted by April 20th at midnight to be featured on Earth Day, April 22nd.

The best part is, everyone's a winner! We just want to see how creative you all are! So get your scissors holstered and tape ready to tear, it's craft challenge time!!

I'm putting together a super-secret craft challenge in April - I send 10 crafters (who won't know who they are until the receive the package) an envelope full of random stuff & they have to use it to make a project! Apply here & I'll send out the packages April 5th!

Rules:

Get envelope.
Make stuff.
You can use your own stash to make it.
Don't buy any new materials.
Take pictures.
Post pictures (blog, facebook, flickr, or email me).
Fortune and glory. Or maybe just fun.

Placemat Challenge (Deadline March 30, 2010):

Announcing our first theme challenge! You will use the theme item to craft up a project using a placemat! You have until March 30 to make and post your placemat craft project (bonus points for a tutorial... okay, there aren't any points, but tutorials are so awesome!) Submit your project link at BlogCarnival (scroll all the way down to that page and click on "submit an article"), and I'll do a roundup of the posts on (or around) April 1st.
