You can find most of the components for this project at the dollar store. Dollar stores often have unfinished wooden frames available, but if you can’t find one at the DS, try using a regular frame with minimal “architectural” detail. You can also find a variety of unfinished wooden items at your local craft store. I have seen liquid shoe polish in the sock-section of my local dollar store, near the men’s dress socks. You will probably not find acrylic clear coat spray at the dollar store, but it’s a great item to have on hand in your craft arsenal. A bottle should cost less than $5.
