Placemats are such a great base material for creating a variety of cool stuff, and the dollar store always has lots of placemats to choose from. Shannon from Luvinthemommyhood and nouvelle mama created a bib from a placemat she scored for $1. So much cuter than a lot of bibs I've seen for sale in stores! You can customize a handmade bib to your own specifications, so if you wanted to make a food-catching pocket on the bottom, you can! This would be a great gift for all your friends who are having babies.

Project Estimate:

  • Placemat, $1
  • Velcro-type tape, on hand or $1
  • Sewing machine, on hand

Total: $1 and up
