Doll clothes can be super expensive.  If you're like me, you have boxes and boxes of baby clothes that you just can't seem to let go of.  Why not put them to good use as doll clothes for your little girl's special "baby"?

In my tutorial I show you how to VERY EASILY create doll jammies from baby jammies.  This can be done by sewists of all skill levels!  [go to the tutorial]

Project Estimate:

  • baby clothes, on hand
  • doll to fit them to, on hand

Total Cost:  FREE!

Caroline Sanchez (Care) has been sewing since her mom taught her the basics at around six years old.  She has always been driven to CREATE, even from a very young age.  She is mommy to two little boys and one baby girl, and almost every spare moment she has is spent in her sewing room or working on her blog, Obsessively Stitching.

Just last weekend I had a garage sale and then dropped the rest of our baby clothes to the Goodwill. Wish I saw this before that :)

I am kicking myself for not thinking of this. Now I won’t pass up those stained baby clothes at yard sales.

This is such a great idea, especially for those outfits that you just can’t get rid of. Thanks for sharing

This is a great idea for baby dolls and also for American Girl dolls. My children are grown with children of their own now, so I have no more of their baby clothes to use. However, I have found some great bargains at thrift stores. Check out my blog, grannasdesigns.blogspot.com, to see how I used them.
