Hello, one and all! I am very excited to introduce myself as a new contributor to Dollar Store Crafts! My name is Care, and I am obsessed with sewing and other crafts -- especially when it can be done quickly and at low cost! You can find my primary blog here.
There is still a lot of summer left, which means there's still plenty of time for some summertime reading. Today I will show you how to make a very simple Library Tote Bag for only four bucks! I used a cute luggage tag to create a library card pocket on the side, and there is plenty of room inside for a big stack of books. This is a great beginner project, and with some guidance from an adult, older kids or tweens could definitely handle this! [click here for instructions]
I found all my supplies at my local dollar store!
Project Estimate:
- Two placemats, $1 each
- Luggage tag, $1
- Canvas D-ring belt, $1
Total Cost: $4

What a cute idea. It seems easy enough for your grandkids to help. I’m going to include it on my website.
cool………
