Some ideas are so simple, they’re brilliant. Like downsizing an adult oven mitt to fit your kiddo. Throw in a cute-tastic graphic print and an adorable felt pie, and you’ve got yourself the perfect recipe for a dollar store craft. This one, by Jessica at the Adventures of Rory and Jess and Sadie was too sweet not to share. [click here for full tutorial and cute photos]

Project Estimate:

  • Adult-sized oven mitt, $1
  • Scissors and sewing stuff, on hand

Total: $1

really cute! I had never seen her blog before, she has some neat ideas. Seems her bow/clip tutorial could also be a “dollar store” project

My nana used to make pies like this to sell at fundraisers, only she would fill them with potpourri, so the blueberry pies would smell like blueberries, etc.
