Shopping Cart Seatbelt

Once little ones become mobile -- crawling, walking, running! -- they often do not want to sit still for a single second they are awake -- even standing in shopping cart seats rather than sitting in them.  Obviously this is unsafe and unacceptable, so I've come up with a solution -- a shopping cart seatbelt!  The additional crotch strap keeps little ones seated and safe on those inevitable grocery shopping expeditions.  [read here to find out how to make one of your own]

Project Estimate:

  • canvas D-ring belt(s), $1 each

Total: $1

This is such a good idea. The belts in shopping carts and highchairs seem to ALWAYS be broken!

Yay, great idea, Care! It’s always so annoying when shopping cart seatbelts are broken.

This is brilliant. I just bought a contraption a few months ago that keeps baby in her high chair, but this would have been a much simpler and cheaper solution. Too bad I didn’t think of it :)

I’m chuckling because back in the day we used a dish towel to tie the little darlings into a seat.
