- Jan cleverly used placemats as flower adornments on a wreath posted at the simpler life.
- Sarah F. made a pretty and colorful Spring Hanging Decoration posted at Sewing and Crafting with Sarah, saying, "An easy inexpensive decoration that all craft skill levels should be able to make."
- My neighbor, friend, and crafting buddy Holly M did a great Placemat Frame Update posted at Art, meet Craft.
- Heather presents My Dollar Store Challenge: Placemat White Board posted at Wax Eloquent.
- Lea-Ann W. shared how she made a Place Mat Valance posted at flicted sewing room.
- Laurie E. presents a REPURPOSED PLACEMAT PARADE: posted at Scene of the Grime with 3 ideas for using placemats: Window hanging, table runner, pillow cover. Laurie also submitted this great idea: “SCHOOL” ON PLACEMATS that features cool study books made from plastic placemats.
- Audra presents placemat challenge: Activity Book posted at SIMPSONized Crafts... And then SOME. Each page has a different activity theme (such as motor skills, arts & crafts).
- Sarah J. presents Homemade Craft: Small Tote from Placemat posted at Sarah's Deals, saying, "this was fun and easy!"

- Jackie sewed a nifty Placemat Bag posted at Blessings Overflowingand provided a tutorial.
- Angie shows off her adorable daughters in her post about Placemats turned Toddler skirts posted at Our Hallberg 6.
- Marsha D. presents cute stuff inside: KICK IT INTO GEAR posted at cute stuff inside.
- Ina made a fab Placemat Purse posted at Feathering a Nest, describing it as a, "red clutch purse made from a placemat, embellished with some ribbon hand embroideries."
- I love Rachel's project, an EASTER Chick Treat Bag posted at Five little Crafty Birdies. She said it's, "Fun, easy and super cheap way to decorate and make a gift for Easter!" This project would be fun to make for a wheelchair or walker too.
- Joy N used a really cool placemat for her Toiletries Bag posted at Spool {}.
- Heather used dollar store belts as handles on her cool Place Mat Beach Bag posted at My Frugal Family, saying, "A $4 beach bag with sparkly straps!"
- Wendy G. twisted the challenge to use welcome mats in her nifty Astroturf Picnic Bag posted at Old Days - Old Ways, saying, "This is not my original idea, as the post says, but it's carried out in a dollar store manner!"
- Wendy G. also shared how to make a Christmas Stocking from Placemat posted at Old Days - Old Ways, saying, "This is one of several dollar store Christmas stockings, I'll link them all together!"
- Jeri presents several different unique Placemat Handbags posted at My Life in the Craft Lane. My favorite is the blue and yellow plaid purse! Love the placemat fabric-covered button, too!
- Darcy made a Dollar Store Trashcan posted at Sunshine Lollipops, saying, "A car trashcan for the front seat of your car. Big enough to fit a couple water bottles, a months worth of ATM receipts, and a few empty packs of gum."
