Make a Paper Doily Cone Wreath

I love this twist on the paper cone wreath! Reader Susan at Under the Willow made it with paper doilies from the dollar store. It's so pretty, and nobody would guess it cost about a dollar to make! These would be great wedding or shower decorations, or would look stunning against a dark-colored wall (or any wall, really!) Susan doesn't have a tutorial, but Martha Stewart to the rescue: Cone Wreath. [click here to see Susan's wreath]

Project Estimate:

  • 2 packages of paper doilies (rectangular and small round), $2
  • Glue and tape, on hand

Total: $2

This is so pretty! I have so many doilies, I am going to make this to decorate for my next ladies get-together.

Heather! You are right1 this is really very pretty. And what came immediately to my mind is that it would be just a perfect base for a plum pudding! Probably would want to make a little foil base for it to sit on to avoid “glue issues” but, wouldn’t a plum pudding be lovely sitting on this wreath?

I love paper doilies…maybe because I like lace. This is really pretty.
