Fingerprint art (along with handprint and footprint art) makes a wonderful keepsake gift.  And what mom doesn't like candles?  Combine the two together this Mother's Day and make fingerprint candles!  Laura from Come Together Kids shares an easy technique for applying artwork to a plain candle, fusing the design into the wax.  (You can also use the same method to rubber stamp on candles, and it would look great with embossing!)   [how to make Mother's Day fingerprint candles]

Project estimate:

  • Candle, $1
  • Tissue paper, on hand
  • Paint, on hand
  • Wax paper, on hand
  • Heat gun or hair dryer, on hand

Total: $1
