Whether you’re dressing up as a zombie, Frankenstein’s monster, or Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas for Halloween, or you just have a morbid sense of humor, you will love this quirky reattached-decapitated-head necklace by Instructables user PixyMcCrafty. I know that my local Dollar Tree still has some colored wire in their crafty section, which would be perfect for this project. She used polymer clay to create each X of the stitching; a commenter on the project suggested using sugru (a rubbery silicone clay) instead to make it more comfortable to wear. Either way, this piece is certainly quite clever! [how to make a severed head necklace]
Project estimate:
- Red wire, $1 and up
- Polymer clay, on hand or about $2 and up
- Clear coat, on hand or $1 and up
Total: $1 and up

Dang! Those are creepy cool. :) I bet they would have been a big hit back when I was in high school.

Interesting…especially considering I posted an extremely similar idea 2 years ago. http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/severed_neck_choker

Awesome! I love the X’s that look like it’s been sewed back on. Great touch! Really makes it.
