These sweet little baskets are made out of paper plates! So resourceful, and so simple and pretty. Sarah Hearts adapted one of Martha's great ideas to create these and secure them with washi tape. (I have yet to see any washi tape at the regular American dollar store, but you can find it at the Japanese dollar store!) If you don't have washi tape, how about taping the baskets up with double-stick or invisible tape and then wrapping a pretty ribbon around them? [how to make paper plate baskets]
These baskets would be great containers for teacher or neighbor gifts. You could fill them with just about anything!
Project Estimate:
- Plain white fluted paper plates, $1
- Tape, on hand or $1
- Decorative-edged scissors, on hand
- (Optional) ribbon, on hand or $1
Total: $1 and up
