I have been known to tear apart clothespins to use the wooden bits for various projects. But what about the metal spring part? Mine usually end up in the recycling bin – but not anymore! The ever-so-clever Michelle from Mich L. in L.A. was playing around with them recently and came up with a delightful jewelry design. The best part? No tools required! (Seriously!) [how to make wire jewelry with clothespins]
Project estimate:
- Clothespins, on hand or $1
- Beads, on hand or $1
- Chain or other jewelry findings, on hand or $1 and up
Total: Free and up

This is wonderful! What size chain? Everything I have is too big to fit threw?
rusty
if your chain is to large to fit thru the coils, try using ribbon. you can match the ribbon to the beads and even change the ribbon to match your outfit. you could even use multiple colors of ribbon…
it might be interesting to use one of the nylon beading cords (clear) so it would appear the beads are floating….

These are so cool! Mind if I post them on my blog with a link to you once I get around to making them?

Also another idea for using stuff you may already have is extra shoelaces for the “chain” and if you don’t have any you can get a bunch of them for a buck at the Dollar Tree. I love Mich L in LA’s blog.
